Yairany “Chiquis” Galiano

Chiquis (she/her/ella) is originally from Cuba. She spent 10 years working in restaurants before coming to the Indigenous Food Lab. Cuban foods are her favorite foods, and she loves making (and eating) congrí, a Cuban black bean and rice dish. Chiquis especially likes that we’re making different food, Indigenous food, and she is glad that we get to support the community through our work here at NATIFS.
