About NATIFS

North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NĀTIFS), founded by The Sioux Chef Sean Sherman, is dedicated to addressing the economic and health crises affecting Native communities by re-establishing Native foodways. The NATIFS Education Team was lucky to be asked to make breakfast for the “Elder’s Brunch and Learn“ at the Little Earth Community Center! Once a month, we will be learning from local elders and eating delicious Indigenous foods! This week’s event included an amazing mixed berry and hemp heart smoothie, which is super simple to make:

1 cup frozen mixed berries
3 TB hemp hearts
1-2 cup oat milk or cashew milk
Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth! That’s it! Enjoy!
