Reports to: IFL Market Manager & IFL Assistant Market Manager

Position:
IFL Market associates will be expected to use a POS for retail transactions, hand-craft drinks at our tea bar, assist guests with products on the retail floor, and work collaboratively to maintain the overall appearance and ensure seamless operations of the Market. The IFL Market is an extension of our mission to promote Indigenous foodways education and facilitate Indigenous food access.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers to markout merchandise and properly handle currency in accordance with cash handling policy
- Handcraft beverages & maintain tea bar according to SOP
- Maintain market appearance & merchandising standards
- Follow inventory control procedures to mitigate shrink and inventory variances
- Adhere to food storage, handling, and workplace safety guidelines and procedures
- Communicate any quality control, maintenance, procedural, inventory, operational, and/ or safety concerns to Leader on Duty and/or Market Management
- Assist with Pick & Pack of orders that come through our Online Market
- Have a knowledge base of Indigenous Food Sovereignty & Culture and be able to knowledge share with market guests
- Take on opportunities to build on your own knowledge base of Indigenous Food Sovereignty & Culture
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, organizational information, new launches, and campaigns and relay that information to appropriate parties
- Maintain a welcoming and inspiring environment for market guests and team members
- Additional duties may be assigned for a shift premium.

Benefits:
NāTIFS presently provides 11 paid holidays, four weeks’ PTO, 100% of employee health insurance premium paid (and 30% for dependents), $1,000 annual contribution to Health Savings Account, 3% salary contribution 403(b) retirement plan (if the employee contributes 1% or more).
